Preparing a first entry is just as exciting as tasting a dish that we have perfected. Most of the excitement fits into the category of knowing that a recipe is truly never perfect and that there is room to grow (and Flour Farm is one baby that is really growing!)
Several years ago, Dave and I embarked on a journey to create mobile, healthy food for both ourselves and our customers that tasted amazing and also happened to be gluten-free. In the past, gluten-free products had a nasty reputation as food not fit for consumption. Today, there are many amazing people out there determined to change that mainstream idea. We intend to feature others who are making a positive difference in the world of healthy, sustainable, delicious, transparent and gluten free living.
Interesting to note is that neither Dave nor I have been diagnosed with gluten intolerance. We honestly feel better when we avoid foods that are genetically modified or that contain gluten proteins. However, we do have very dear friends and customers who have life threatening symptoms related to gluten consumption, (Teri has experienced anaphylaxis from eating soy – very scary). We know that food allergies and in-tolerances are issues that need to be handled with integrity, compassion, and choice. We choose to feel good, and we hope you do too!
