We adapted the recipe to taste even better with our Flour Farm Organic Gluten Free Flour Blend. Our herb dumplings cook up light, fluffy and delicious. The best part? They are SO EASY to make!

Before You Dive In – Prep:
- Prepare your stew, soup or stock
- Mince herbs
- Slice scallions
Choose Gluten Free, Non-GMO, & Organic ingredients.
- 108g (3.8 oz) Flour Farm Organic Gluten Free Flour Blend (1 C)
- 1 tsp Double Acting, Aluminum Free Baking Powder (4g)
- 1/2 tsp Extra Fine Pink Himalayan Salt (3g)
- 1/2 tsp Cane Sugar (2g)
- 1/4 tsp Poultry Seasoning, optional (.5g)
- 1 Large Pasture Raised Egg (50g)
- 103.5 ml (3.5 oz) Whole Milk (1/2 C – 1 T)
- 1/8 C Minced Herbs, loosely packed or to taste (ex: parsley, chives, dill, thyme, rosemary, chervil, tarragon…)
- 1 Scallion – finely sliced
Please read prep note before you begin, thank you!
Step 1: Whisk together dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
Step 2: In a liquid measuring cup, whisk together the egg and milk. Pour into the dry ingredients.
Step 3: Add the herbs and scallions and thoroughly combine.
Step 4: Drop the dumpling batter by the teaspoon or small scoop into the soup, stock or stew. Dumpling size will vary.
Step 5: Cover the pot and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Dumplings will be fluffy in the middle when done.
Step 6: Ladle the stew & dumplings into bowls. Garnish with additional herbs, scallions, or freshly ground pepper if desired. Serve hot.
More dumplings: The full recipe fits only half of the dumpling batter in a 6 qt dutch oven, and makes more dumplings than we need for 8-10 servings. If you prefer more dumplings in your stew, then double the recipe. Make dumplings in batches.
